Hello fellow Anglers

Having been founded in 1984, 2026 marks the club’s 42nd year, another milestone, then, in its distinguished history.

GVAC’s Management Committee remains committed to preserving the club’s heritage. Its ethos has brought success and recognition at

both local and national level.

GVAC offers angling to everyone, regardless of race, gender, age or ability; and seeks to develop the sport through the provision of safe

and affordable fishing experiences.

The Management’s Committee’s core values are: integrity, respect, honesty and openness, with one another and its members, challenge,

and teamwork. We believe our values will see GVAC continue to progress and flourish.

We welcome feedback through this website. The Management Committee will not, however, tolerate aggression or bullying; nor will it

accept any form of behaviour considered potentially disreputable to GVAC’s name.

Our Constitution, approved by the Angling Trust’s ‘FishMark’ (formerly ClubMark), incorporates Child Protection and Equity policies.

The Management Committee appreciates that members require accessible, well-maintained venues; and a standard of fishing that befits such a successful club. We recognise the socio-economic changes affecting our sport, but we believe long-term planning will see

GVAC thrive for another 40-plus years.

We welcome every member, and we look forward to seeing you on the bank.
